Jeremiah is a prophet with heart and soul. As Rev Dr Monica Melanchthon reminded us, of all the prophets in the Hebrew Scriptures, Jeremiah’s story reveals him as a person. We experience the travails and hopes of Judah with passion in his experiences and words. Monica presented an introduction to Jeremiah and an overview of the lectionary texts for 2002 in her plenary session at our recent Worship Leader Training Day.
