Port Phillip East Presbytery employs a ministry team who work with committees, teams and volunteers.

Presbytery Ministers
Mr David Higham is serving as Presbytery Minister – Supply (part- time) while the presbytery seeks a new Presbytery Minister – Team Leader. David’s role is primarily related to organisational and administrative duties including property and finance. David is also the Supply Pastor at Seaford Uniting Church and the incoming Deputy Chair of the Presbytery Standing Committee.
Rev Robin Yang is serving as Presbytery Minister – Supply (part-time). As part of his PM role, Robin is the project manager for the Presbytery’s Casey Cardinia Regional Mission project. He is also the deputy chairperson of PRC. Robin has served in a wide number of placements across three Synods.
Rev Anneke Oppewal began with the Presbytery in June 2019. She comes to the Presbytery with experience in Ministry in the Netherlands, the UK and Australia. In the UCA she served in the role of Minister with Balwyn North Uniting Church and Toorak Uniting Church. Anneke is also a qualified psychotherapist. See Anneke’s personal website.
Secretary/Administrator
Ms Anne Kim began in the role of Presbytery Administrator/Secretary in February 2021. Anne is a member of Korean Church of Melbourne, where she has carried various volunteer roles, including administrator, secretary of the Sunday School, secretary of the Christian Education committee, and organiser of key events such as the annual church camp. Anne was a Safe Church Project Officer for the VicTas Synod for from 2016 to 2019, covering the Presbyteries of Port Phillip East and Yarra Yarra.
Communication
Sarah Manase is the Communications Officer for Port Phillip East Presbytery. Sarah’s role includes editing the monthly Newsbeat magazine, as well as working with others in the Presbytery to curate content for the website and social media channels. Sarah brings experience and training in event management and communication, with a qualification in public relations from Swinburne University of Technology. She is also working two days a week with the VicTas Synod as a Synod Meeting Logistics Coordinator/Admin Assistant, with particular focus on event management.
Rev Duncan Macleod served as Presbytery Minister: Team Leader from February 2019 through to January 2023, and has now moved to take up the role of Executive Officer with eLM, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.
