Ormond Learning Hub | Six‑Week Formation Series
Join us for a rich learning experience exploring how the Church lives out its mission through service, community engagement, and diakonia. Over six weeks, participants will engage in seminar‑based learning and guided reflection on our own lived experience, asking what it means to step beyond the church building and recognise God’s mission unfolding in the world.
This series features internationally recognised leaders in diaconia and mission:
- Prof. Johannes Eurich, Director, Institute for the Study of Diaconia, University of Heidelberg
- Dr Tanja Schmidt, Senior Pastor, Protestant Parish of Leutershausen
- Jessica Hateley‑Browne, Director of Mission, Uniting Victoria and Tasmania
- Rev Dr Ji Zhang, Minister, Ormond Uniting Church
Together, we will explore:
- Who we are as Church and why our congregational identity matters
- The Church’s history and vocation in social service
- Diakonia and the changing nature of the Church
- The mission and service of Uniting Victoria and Tasmania
- Connecting Church and local community
- Discerning our future direction in mission
