The Presbytery of Port Phillip East is thrilled to open registrations for the 2026 Presbytery Ministry Retreat — a dedicated day to slow down, think clearly, and reconnect with the heart of ministry.

Built around the movements of Restore, Relearn, and Re‑Engage, this retreat offers a beautifully held space where ministry leaders can breathe deeply, reflect meaningfully, and navigate the complexities of leadership with renewed imagination.

This retreat is open to all ministry agents, including ministers, pastors, lay preachers, and leaders involved in worship and sacraments.

Facilitator: Rev Dr Julian Hamilton
We are delighted to welcome Rev Dr Julian Hamilton as our retreat leader.

Based in Northern Ireland, Julian works internationally across faith, education, and community settings. His ministry is shaped by pastoral leadership, chaplaincy, and public engagement in complex environments. He brings a calm, attentive presence and a creative, playful approach to facilitation.

Julian’s background includes:

• Pastoral Leadership: Former Superintendent Minister of the Larne Methodist Circuit
• Chaplaincy: Methodist Chaplain at Trinity College Dublin
• Interactive Facilitation: Trained Flow Game facilitator; influenced by the Art of Hosting movement
• Creative Work: Published youth resources, contributor to interfaith dialogue, and releasing his first novel in 2026
